For years I have been wanting a “big girl” camera.
Take a look at this beauty!
The superhappycool thing? It’s in my home right now. The frightening part? I have no idea how to use it. No worries, there is an “auto” feature for us newbies. And I’ve heard repeatedly that the way to get better at taking photos is… to take more photos. (plus, our amazingly talented photographer from our wedding said there are all kinds of tutorials on youtube and vimeo)
I have been wanting to incorporate more of the random photos I take throughout the week here. Most of the meals I eat get photographed, if I see a new GF product at the store, or maybe just the vivid color of the yolk from my farm fresh eggs at breakfast. All kinds of pictures — too many to have a blog post on each one, so I needed something new.
Check in each week for “Friday Photos: A week in review.” (the most clever name I could come up with this morning, it may get a make-over at some point) I’ll still be posting pics on my Facebook page too, but this will help justify holding up dinner so I can get a good shot.
Happy Friday!
hello harvest!
buffalo chicken, tater tot “nachos” with waffle dippers
red eye — a top wedding gift… more on this later
herbs drying in afternoon sun
a new cider (I’m a fan… my big brother was too!)
GF Get Together @ Stack’d — good cider, great company
And sometimes, just for kicks, I might throw in someone else’s photos… like this one from Ryan Abel Photography — of course we are semi-biased because he’s family, but his work speaks for itself.
pure joy in our hearts.
Hi there this is somewhat of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I
wanted to get guidance from someone with experience.
Any help would be enormously appreciated!
I don’t do much manual coding, luckily wordpress does the work for me, which blogging platform are you planning to use?
I can’t wait to see future Friday photos! Having a digital SLR is amazing. I still don’t know how to use mine well either, but it doesn’t stop me from going out and playing with it. And of course taking pictures of my food. 😀
yay! been wanting to do this for a while — have SO many photos on my phone and camera that just sit there… and the new camera was perfect timing! we can share photo tips!
